People have commented about how lucky I was to have such a great litter. Luck has little to do with it. It was mostly because I chose to get a breeding mentor, Lori Price of Jotunheim Swissies, who knows pedigrees as far back as six or seven generations. Lori's careful and calculated breeding practices not only produced this lovely litter, but her direction and encouragement made the success of each show pup possible. My friends, Kristin Krumpe (Aegis GSMD), and Karen Hannon, also played a big role in Ushi's ROM as well. Had it not been for their selfless generosity to help show some of these pups, it would have taken me a very long time. My sister, Pam, and her husband, Ron, not only owner-handled Brig and Jura, but also put their CD and DD titles on them. I'm very lucky to have friends and family who work with each other to promote a common goal - that is to produce GSMD's which possess the breed type, health, longevity, and soundness, all essential for the variety of tasks for which they were originally bred.
